Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: Road Rage Consequences; Arguing Business Owners

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the  from July 9 — 15, 2012.

Sunday, July 15

2:30 p.m. — A Law Road resident reported her mailbox had been knocked off its post.

Saturday, July 14

5:12 p.m. — Police were called to Pleasantville Road, where two local business owners were reportedly arguing in the middle of the street. Police intervened, spoke with both parties and sent them back to their businesses without further incident.

Friday, July 13

6:02 p.m. — The New Castle Police Department reported arresting a 29-year-old Ossining man who had an active warrant out of Briarcliff Manor. He was brought to BMPD headquarters, processed and released on $100 bail.

2:26 p.m. — A resident reported his father's credit card had been used without his permission in New Jersey. The man said $33,000 had been charged to the card. The alleged larceny is under investigation.

12:22 p.m. — Police received a call from a patient at  who reported she had been bitten by a dog in the village. The woman, a Danbury, CT, resident, said she had been bitten by a medium-sized black dog in the area of Pine and Birch Roads in the village. She stated she did not do anything to provoke the dog. The woman completed an animal bite form through Westchester County.

Wednesday, July 11

10:12 a.m. — Police were called to a local church where a dispute was reported. According to the responding officers, a resident was involved in a road rage incident and the other driver involved followed the resident to his destination at the church, where his child was attending summer camp. Camp personnel requested police assistance when they told the resident that his children should no longer attend the camp.

10:05 a.m. — A Hirst Road resident reported the home's mailbox had been damaged.

12:30 a.m. — A motion alarm was reportedly activated at a Pleasantville Road address. No further information was immediately available.

Monday, July 9

4:07 p.m. — Police were notified of a dispute at a Holbrook Road address. The responding officer reported a contractor terminated by a family was being verbally abusive toward the homeowner. The contractor was no longer at the scene by the time police arrived.

10:46 a.m. — A Whitson Road resident reported a missing mailbox. The mailbox was later found and returned to the home, undamaged.
