Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: Stolen Boulder; Late Night Sawing

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the Briarcliff Manor Police Department from Feb. 13 — 19, 2012.
Sunday, Feb. 19
11:02 p.m. — A 44-year-old Bronx woman was stopped while driving on Route 9A and subsequently arrested for an alleged vehicle and traffic infraction.

Saturday, Feb. 18
1:22 p.m. — An employee of a Pleasantville Road business contacted police and reported an unknown person had entered the business and stated his car was disable. The man asked for money and the employee gave him $30 to take a cab home. The man left without incident.

Friday, Feb. 17
12:36 p.m. — A Hawthorne Place resident reported an unknown person had stolen a 50-pound boulder from his rock fence. Police filed a report of the alleged larceny.
10:20 a.m. — A party contacted police and reported having a dispute with a contractor hired to work for the school district. Police filed a report of the dispute.
Thursday, Feb. 16
8:52 a.m. — An Orchard Road resident contacted police and reported his vehicle had been tampered with overnight. The alleged criminal mischief is under investigation.
Wednesday, Feb. 15
7:52 p.m. — A South Highland Avenue doctor called police and reported a fired employee was attempting to come to the building, stating she needed to drop off some items. The doctor told police he thought it might be a ruse and asked the incident be reported for the record.
Tuesday, Feb. 14
11:27 p.m. — Police received a call from a party residing in a building behind the Landmark Diner who reported hearing a loud sawing noise coming from the diner. Police responded to the scene and reported an employee of the diner was cutting some tiles.
1:23 p.m. — A larceny was reported at a North State Road office building. The case is under investigation.
9:42 a.m. — A 36-year-old New Rochelle woman was stopped while driving on Route 9. She was arrested for an alleged vehicle and traffic infraction and was issued a summons.
9:26 a.m. — Police performed at vehicle and traffic arrest on Route 9. A 44-year-old Lynbrook man was arrest and issued a summons.
9:07 a.m. — Police arrested a 47-year-old Sleepy Hollow man for an alleged vehicle and traffic infraction on Route 9.
