Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: Underage DWI Arrest; iPad Stolen at High School

The following is from the police departments. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the  from Feb. 27 — March 4, 2012.

Saturday, March 3

6:12 a.m. — A Sleepy Holow Road resident reported her mailbox had been destroyed overnight.

Friday, March 2

4:18 p.m. — A resident called police and reported when he attempted to apply for a re-mortgage for his house, he found out his credit score was really low. He later discovered an unknown person had opened two utility accounts in Connecticut in his name, which have since been closed, but have outstanding balances. The man came into police headquarters the following afternoon to fill out related paperwork.

12:53 p.m. — A student called police to report she lost her wallet in the campus cafeteria. Police security confirmed the incident. The caller stated she called her bank to determine if debit and credit cards had been used without her permission. A report was filed.

10:37 a.m. — A woman reported her daughter's iPad two had been stolen between 3:15 and 7:15 p.m. the day prior from her locker at . The woman said her daughter had been away off campus for a school function during the time the alleged larceny occurred. A report was filed.

3:10 a.m. — Police reported pulling over a vehicle on Long Hill Road East after it was allegedly speeding. After the stop, the officer determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver, a 20-year-old Yorktown woman, was issued several tickets, including one for Driving While Intoxicated. She is due back in court on March 14.

Tuesday, Feb. 28

4:50 p.m. — A Valentine Road resident reported his granddaughter had taken items from his home without his permission. The granddaughter told police she had been authorized to take the items by her grandmother's attorney. Police reported the condition was later corrected.

4:07 p.m. — A woman reported to police that as she was pulling out of the Wells Fargo Bank parking lot, she hit a yield for pedestrians sign in front of the bank. The incident was reported for the record.

Monday, Feb. 27

11:31 a.m. — A Long Hill Road West resident reported someone had entered his into his car overnight, taking a cell phone, cell phone charger and loose change.
