Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: Unoccupied Home Burglarized; Dispute Over Accountant Fee

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the  from March 5 — 11, 2011.

Sunday, March 11

7:40 p.m. — An Ossining resident reported while driving on Pleasantville Road, a vehicle passing by clipped his mirror and did not stop. The complainant was not able to provide any information about the other car involved.

Saturday, March 10

9:44 p.m. — A Scarborough Road resident reported a few days prior his dog and one of his tenant's dogs got into a scuffle while his paid dog walker had his dog outside. The dog walker was taken to to be treated for a hand injury as a result of the incident. The case remains open.

6:17 p.m. — An anonymous caller told police there were youths hanging out at the Scarborough train station. Responding officers reported the youths were skateboarding and not doing anything illegal.

3:42 p.m. — A burglary was reported at a Chappaqua Road home. Police reported copper piping had been taking from the residence that is currently for sale and unoccupied. The incident is under investigation.

Thursday, March 8

1:11 p.m. — An Elm Road resident reported someone had taken her son's GPS and coins from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the home's driveway overnight.

Wednesday, March 7

4:48 p.m. — A patron of Liberty Tax Service in Ossining reported to police she had engaged in a dispute with an accountant over the price of her tax return fee. Police advised the woman the dispute is a civil matter.

10:03 a.m. — Police arrested a New York driver on Route 9A after he was stopped for activating the license plate reader. The 31-year-old man is alleged to have driven a vehicle with a suspended registration.

Tuesday, March 6

10:32 p.m. — A Fuller Road resident told police he had left newspapers out for recycling earlier in the day. He stated when he returned home, it appeared someone had taken two of the bags of newspapers. A report of the incident was filed.

12:50 p.m. — A Sleepy Hollow Road resident reported her mailbox had been damaged while she was away for the weekend. A report was filed.
