Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: Wallet Missing from Middle School Locker; Service Dog Refused at UPS

Sunday, March 25

11:22 a.m. — A single-car accident involving minor property damage was reported on Pine Road.

8:12 a.m. — An officer on patrol reported finding a mailbox and post in the roadway on Long Hill Road West. The items were brought into police headquarters.

7:05 a.m. — A Cherry Hill Court resident reported the home's mailbox and post had been pulled up and left in the roadway overnight.

Thursday, March 22

5:57 p.m. — A minor car accident was reported on Route 9A. The two drivers involved exchanged information at the scene.

5:50 p.m. — A dispute was reported at . According to police reports, a mother of a student who lives at the arrived in Briarcliff Manor and the two engaged in a verbal dispute. Police reported both parties left the campus without further incident.

12:14 p.m. — A village resident reported that as she was leaving court, an attorney she did not know yelled at her to pay her rent. She said she left the scene without incident.

10:14 a.m. — The mother of a student reported her son's wallet had been taken from his locker. She said the wallet contained his library card and $50 in cash. The alleged larceny is under investigation.

Wednesday, March 21

3:09 p.m. — A patron at reported she was at the store with her service dog, but the owner was refusing to serve her. Police responded to the scene and confirmed the dog was a service dog and spoke with the owner. The woman was able to complete her business and left the store without further incident.

9:32 a.m. — An employee of reported several unauthorized checks had been written from the company's account. The incident is under investigation.

9:07 a.m. — A village resident notified police that while she was waiting for a light to change on Route 9, a vehicle passed her on the right and struck her side mirror. She said her car was not damaged.

Tuesday, March 20

8:28 p.m. — Police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident on Route 9A involving two cars. The two drivers exchanged information and decided not to file a police report.

Monday, March 19

11:08 a.m. — The owner of contacted police and reported it appeared someone had tampered with the establishment's front door locks overnight. Police reported it appeared someone put Locktight inside the locks. A report of the alleged criminal mischief was filed.
