Emergency responders were called to Chappaqua Road in the village at approximately 12:40 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

Police described the accident as a "cyclist versus vehicle" incident on the village road.

The woman was taken to the hospital and reportedly passed away during the overnight hours.

Lt. Donald Gorey of the Briarcliff Manor Police Department declined to comment further, stating he is in talks with the Westchester County District Attorney's Office about the incident. It is unclear whether charges are being filed against the driver of the vehicle that struck the woman.
