NYSP: Briarcliff Woman Arrested for DWAI, Needle Possession

A 20-year-old Briarcliff Manor woman was arrested Tuesday and charged with two misdemeanor offenses, according to New York State Police.

Town of Somers and New York Sate Police reported performing a vehicle and traffic stop at approximately 8 p.m. on February 28 after receiving a complaint about an erratic and possibly intoxicated driver.

The driver "was found to be driving while ability impaired by drugs and in possession of a hypodermic needle," according to a press release from state police.

The Briarcliff Manor woman was subsequently arrested and charted with Driving While Ability Impaired—Drugs and Possession of a Hypodermic Needle.

She was issued a summons and released to her parents with a return Town of Somers court date of March 5, 2012 at 5:30 p.m.
