NYSP: Briarcliff Woman Arrested with Cocaine

A Briarcliff Manor woman is being charged with alcohol and drug-related charges in the Town of Mount Pleasant.

According to a press release from New York State Police released today, a vehicle being driven by Mayra A. Stern, 59, was stopped on the Taconic State Parkway at approximately 1:15 a.m. this morning.

Police initially stopped her car after she allegedly moved unsafely from a lane. During the traffic stop, her blood alcohol level was measured at 0.08 percent. Therefore, she was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

Additionally, Stern was allegedly in possession of .4 grams of cocaine. She was also charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.

Stern is due in Mount Pleasant Court on September 13.
