Pleasantville PD Share Details of Cemetery Mischief
Police say more than $15,000 in damage was done to headstones at All Souls Cemetery.
The continues to investigate the felony criminal mischief at All Souls Cemetery on Marble Avenue.
According to a statement released by Chief of Police Richard Love today, "Police believe that a small group of youths entered the cemetery from the railroad tracks and gathered in the south-eastern corner. They proceeded to drink alcohol, smoke and eventually cause damage to the stones."
In total, the damage caused to the 29 cemetery headstones is more than $15,000, Love said.

Police records indicate that eight 24-oz Rolling Rock beer cans and two 24-oz Miller High Life cans were recovered at the scene, along with several paper coffee cups with plastic travel lids; as well as an empty package of Lucky Strike cigarettes.
In addition, the Miller High Life cans appeared to contain chewing tabacco spit.

Said Love, "Police recovered numerous cans of beer and cigarettes which will be processed for fingerprints and DNA."
The Westchester County Department of Public Safety was also involved in the initial investigation.
Holy Innocents Church, which is affiliated with All Souls Cemetery, for informatin leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator(s).
"We are asking for anyone with information to please contact the Pleasantville Police Department at 914-769-1500," Love said.
