Pleasantville Police Blotter: $4,000 in Bounced Checks; Missing Wallet

The following information was supplied by the police department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the  from Jan. 30 — Feb. 5, 2012:

Sunday, Feb. 5

5:22 a.m. — A Vermilyea Street woman called 911 to report a domestic incident at the resident that had occurred in the past. Police responded to the home and interviewed the two parties involved. Police then placed a 41-year-old man who lived at the address under arrest.

Thursday, Feb. 2

6:50 p.m. — A police officer reported finding a wallet on Wheeler Avenue. Police left a voice message for the wallet's owner, a Mount Kisco woman.

11:15 a.m. — A man came into police headquarters to report a customer had taken property from his business without paying. Police filed a report of the alleged larceny.

5:24 a.m. — A Pleasantville resident called police and reported she had been receiving numerous unwanted phone calls from a restricted number on her cell phone. Police advised the woman to contact her cell phone provider if the calls persisted.

Wednesday, Feb. 1

8:12 p.m. — A village resident came into headquarters and stated his credit card company had contacted him to report someone had attempted three times to purchase more than $5,000 worth of merchandise using his credit card number from Sears.com and an unknown amount of merchandise from CLKbank.com. The man said his credit card company would not release more information until he completed a police report. The incident was reported for the record by Pleasantville police.

Monday, Jan. 30

4:23 p.m. — A Pleasantville resident came into police headquarters and reported checks he received for $4,000 were returned by the bank, which reported the associated account had been closed. Police filed a report of the alleged larceny.
