Pleasantville Police Blotter: Harassing Phone Calls; Possible Home Larceny

The following information is from the police department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the  from July 9 — 15, 2012:

Saturday, July 14

4:24 a.m. — A police officer on duty reported finding multiple red graffiti markings on the MTA railroad bridge on Sunnyside Avenue. Police took photos of the graffiti and notified MTA police.

Friday, July 13

1:40 a.m. — Police received a call reporting a disturbance at . Police interviewed two men at the scene and dispersed the group.

Thursday, July 12

2:27 p.m. — The manager of called police to report a series of harassing phone calls at the store. He stated receiving three calls over the past month from an anonymous female who encouraged him to fire one of his female employees. Then, at approximately 2:20 p.m. that day, the woman called and asked to speak with the female employee. She reportedly threatened to kill the employee and told her to "stay away from my man." The employee said she was not sure who the woman was. Starbucks was unable to provide the caller's phone number at the time. The employee called police at 5:39 p.m. to report Starbucks headquarters would contact Verizon to track down the phone number.

Wednesday, July 11

5:23 p.m. — Police received a 911 call reporting a dispute at a Bedford Road address where a man pushed a moving company employee. Police responded to the scene and reported a verbal dispute was in progress between two men. They told police a moving truck blocking a driveway caused the argument and both said they were pushed by the other. The truck was moved and neither wished to pursue further police action.

Monday, July 9

11:07 a.m. — A Mountain Road resident came into police and reported items had possibly been stolen from her apartment. She told police she was missing $700 in cash, an $800 wedding ring and a $2,000 silver bracelet. Police filed a report of the alleged larceny.
