Pleasantville Police Blotter: Gas Station and Student Driver Disputes
The following information is from the police department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the from April 30 — May 6, 2012:
Sunday, May 6
2:01 p.m. — A police officer was flagged down on Sunnyside Avenue by a driver's education instructor. The instructor told police that while he was telling his student to parallel park the vehicle, a man came outside and told the teacher not to park. After the student parked, he stated the man came out again and cursed at him. Police interviewed the man, who said he had engaged in a verbal altercation with the instructor because his car had been scratched in the past by student drivers. He also said the instructor had also cursed at him and "gave him the finger." Officers advised him to call police in the future rather than arguing with the teacher. The instructor denied cursing at the man.

12:08 a.m. — A resident reported while a vehicle was parked in the Cooley Street parking lot overnight, the windshield had been cracked. A report was filed.

12:01 p.m. — A Marble Avenue resident came into police headquarters to report a burglary. Read more .
10:20 a.m. — A towing company called police and reported finding a set of keys in a vehicle that was towed after an accident. The caller stated the car's owner did not recognize the keys. They keys were turned into police and entered into an evidence locker.
Wednesday, May 2
11:56 a.m. — A resident reported his grandson was at his residence asking for money and he wanted him to leave. The man stated his grandson was acting irrational and accusing the home health aid of stealing cash from the residence. Police reported the grandson, a 33-year-old homeless man, was escorted off the property without further problems.
11:27 a.m. — A doctor's office employee called 911 and reported she was having problem with a patient's relative and was concerned for the patient's well-being. Responding officers reported the situation was corrected.
Tuesday, May 1
6:08 p.m. — A Manville Road resident came into police headquarters and reported that while her vehicle was parked in her garage between 6 p.m. the day prior and 8:45 a.m. this morning, someone had dented and scratched her car. She stated she believes someone is targeting her vehicle.
12:06 p.m. — An employee of gas station called police and reported that a person was on the property attempting to remove the station's gas pumps and signs. At the scene, the complainant said there was an ongoing civil dispute between the two parties. Police explained to the man attempting to take the signs that he would need a court order and Westchester County marshals present to remove any property. The man agreed and left the premise.
Monday, April 30
5:51 p.m. — A Pleasantville man came into police headquarters and reported he had received an email on Tuesday that offered him a business opportunity that required him to send money orders. He reported receiving $19,800 wired to his bank account the following day and $9,480 on April 30. However, today, he received a call from Chase reporting his account had been frozen due to possible money laundering from Russia. The man said he was not aware of any money laundering. Police filed a report of the incident.
2:38 p.m. — A woman called 911 and reported there were two men fighting in the parking lot of a Lincoln Avenue building. Responding officers reported the argument was verbal only and they did not need to take any further action.
11:54 a.m. — The manager of reported a customer left without paying a $61.72 bill two days prior at approximately 3 p.m. At 5:33 p.m. on Monday, the mother of the customer contacted police and explained that her son had paid and there had been a misunderstanding. Police reported at 6:07 p.m. the matter had indeed been resolved.
