Pleasantville Police Blotter: Man Jumped Behind Post Office; Cars Vandalized at HS

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the  from July 16 — 22, 2012:

Sunday, July 22

9:22 p.m. — A Saratoga Avenue resident called 911 and reported her neighbors were arguing. Police responded to the apartment building and reported finding a dispute in progress between a mother and son. The mother said her 16-year-old son was being verbally abusive, which is an ongoing issue. Police said all was resolved when they left the apartment. The mother called police at 2:37 a.m. and reported her son was being verbally abusive again. Police responded to the scene again and said all was in order.

12:45 p.m. — A resident came into police headquarters and reported that sometime between July 13 and 15, someone had spray painted graffiti on the back walls of a Marble Avenue building.

Thursday, July 19

2:29 p.m. — Police reported a party came into police headquarters to surrender fraudulent driver's licenses.

Wednesday, July 18

6:10 p.m. — While on patrol at the Metro North train station, a police officer reported being approached by an out-of-breath man with muddied clothing who reported being jumped by a group of youths behind the Post Office. The man, a Pleasantville resident, declined medical attention and did not have any obvious injuries, according to the police officer. The man stated he knew one of the people who confronted and attacked him. He stated one of the attackers reached into his pocket and took a rescue tool, worth approximately $20. Police checked the area for the suspects with negative results. The complainant completed a supporting deposition at police headquarters, which was forwarded to the village court to issue a summons and order of protection to the suspect.

1:51 p.m. — A Manville Road resident called police and reported two items were missing from her apartment, which she shares with four housemates. She reported a gold chain with a pendant, worth approximately $300; and a silver chain worth approximately $200 were missing. Police filed a report of the alleged larceny.

9:07 a.m. — A Millwood resident called police and reported his vehicle had been damaged while it was parked at .

Police received two more calls on Wednesday reporting keyed cars in the same lot.

Tuesday, July 17

11:00 a.m. — Police stopped a vehicle on Bedford Road and issued three citations to the driver, a 28-year-old Yonkers man. The vehicle was towed from the scene and the man was transported to headquarters for processing.

12:35 a.m. — An Ossining man came into police headquarters and reported he had been unable to reach his wife, who lives in Pleasantville, since the afternoon. Police responded to the woman's Meadow Lane home and advised her that her husband was attempting to reach her.
