Reports: Pleasantville Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run

Victim Amanda Garcia was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene in the Bronx.

A Pleasantville woman was killed while crossing a street in the Bronx on Saturday morning, according to LoHud.com. The report identifies the woman as Amanda Garcia of 66 Hobby St.

The LoHud report identifies Garcia as 22-years-old, while this New York Daily News article, says she was 21.

The NYPD described the vehicle responsible for the hit-and-run as a black Nissan Altima with a model year between 2006 and 2009, according to the story. Garcia died at the scene after being struck, according to LoHud.com, and the car fled on the Cross Bronx Expressway heading southbound.

According to the Daily News, Garcia was struck with so much force that she struck a minivan parked on the street.

She reportedly has a 3-month-old son.
