Town of Ossining Police Blotter: Coyote Bites Dog; Home Burglary

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the  in the Town of Ossining from April 11 — 15, 2012.

Sunday, April 15

A resident of Albany Post Road reported to Westchester County Police that someone removed a television set and several other items from her home while she was staying temporarily at a local nursing home.  Detectives from the General Investigations Unit are investigating.

Thursday, April 12

8:33 p.m. — A Pleasantville man reported to Westchester County Police that someone removed his iPhone from his car while it was parked at on North State Road.

Wednesday, April 11

6:30 p.m. — A resident of Feeney Road reported to county police that someone knocked down her neighbor’s mailbox, damaging the post and the box. The resident contacted police because she was aware her neighbor was out of town.

1:58 p.m. — Employees at a business on North State Road contacted Westchester County Police regarding a suspicious fundraising solicitation they received from a caller in Connecticut who claimed to be raising money for . The solicitation was a fraud and the incident remains under investigation

10:26 a.m. — A resident of Quail Hollow Road reported to county police that his dog was bitten by a coyote several days earlier. The resident asked that a blotter entry be made to document the incident.
