Town of Ossining Police Blotter: DWI Arrest; Family Dispute

The following information was supplied by the police department. When arrests are noted, they do not indicate convictions.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the Westchester County Department of Public Safety in the Town of Ossining from Feb. 6 — 12, 2011.

Sunday, Feb. 12

12:19 a.m. — Westchester County Police arrested a 45-year-old Ossining man on a Driving While Intoxicated charge after he was observed driving erratically on Route 9A. The man failed a field sobriety test and was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. He was booked at county police headquarters in Hawthorne and released on $200 bail pending a Feb. 21 appearance in Ossining Town Court.

Saturday, Feb. 11

7:29 p.m. — Westchester County Police responded to a residence on Horsehoe Circle on a report of a family dispute. The dispute was determined to be only verbal in nature.

Friday, Feb. 10

12:39 p.m. — Westchester County Police assisted a 95-year-old man who fell and hit his head at his home on Quaker Bridge Road. The Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded and transported the man to Phelps Memorial Hospital Center.

Tuesday, Feb. 7

8:56 p.m. — An employee at Club Fit on North State Road reported a former member of the club was refusing to leave the facility despite being asked to do so. After county police responded, the 42-year-old man agreed to leave.

Monday, Feb. 6

11:30 a.m. — Staff at the Anne M. Dorner Middle School reported a man was observed on school grounds in the area being used by students during recess. The man, whose son attends the school, told Westchester County police that he had just attended a parent meeting at the school and had decided to look for his son during recess. An officer confirmed the man’s account with school officials.
