BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NY — Hudson Valley residents with an extra $25,000 in their pockets will have a chance to meet former President Donald Trump at an invitation-only Republican fundraiser at the Trump National Golf Club Westchester this summer.

The event slated to take place on August 5, will be hosted by the New York State Republican Party. The fundraiser is not billed as supporting any specific candidates in the run-up to mid-term and New York gubernatorial races, which are still more than a year away.

Tickets to the reception are going for as much as $25,000 per couple, according to an email to donors first obtained by Spectrum News 1 NY’s Morgan McKay. For that price, donors are promised a place at the former POTUS’s roundtable and the opportunity to have their photograph taken with the former-reality television star and one-time leader of the free world.

Despite being voted out of office in November, Trump’s influence over New York Republicans has not been diminished.

In June, U.S. Rep. Lee Zeldin was named the party’s presumptive nominee to oppose Gov. Andrew Cuomo in 2022. Zeldin has been among the former president’s staunchest defenders in Congress. Zeldin fought off challenges from the son of close ally and former New York City Mayor Rudy Guiliani and from former Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino.

Both Astorino and Andrew Guilliani, who could still pose primary challenges for Zeldin, have been closely aligned with the former president in their own rights.
