Celebrate Your Pet Dog or Adopt One at Sept 20 Pet Festival in Norwalk
Paw painting, doggy pool play, adoptable dogs and an ice cream social are some of what's planned for the Saturday, Sept. 20 event.

An announcement from Best Friends Pet Care:
Fairfield County pet lovers are invited to celebrate the bond with their best friend at a Pet Festival and Adoption Event Saturday, Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The free event is hosted by Best Friends Pet Care, 528 Main Avenue, Norwalk.
The festival will feature a variety of fun and educational activities for dogs and their companions, including paw painting, doggy pool play and an ice cream social. Photographer Ty Foster and portraitist Aaron Art will capture special pet images. There also will be demonstrations by the Norwalk K9 Police, an “ask the trainer” station and local vendor tables.
Don’t have a dog? Local rescue Bully Breed Rescue will be onsite throughout the event with adoptable dogs looking for homes.
“Whether you’ve had dogs for years, are a brand new pet owner, or are still looking for that special best friend, this event offers some thing for you,” says Corinne Tarullo of Best Friends. The event will be held rain or shine.
