PORT JEFFERSON, NY — Wednesday marks 18 years since the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. A handful of organizations in the Port Jefferson area will be holding gatherings and ceremonies on Wednesday to remember those we lost, per Greater Port Jeff.

Memorials will be held in Port Jefferson, Selden, Centereach, Rocky Point and Setauket.
