Elderly crossing guard accused of forcibly touching a minor female

Lindenhurst, New York
Phillip Bonaventura, who’s 78 who was working outside Alleghany Elementary Scott in Lindenhurst yesterday when he met a minor female 15 years old, was walking to pick up her younger sibling. The crossing guard escorted the young minor to a building and forcibly touched her.
He was arrested and in police custody yesterday afternoon, after the complaint made by the young minor and her parents. They are taking this very seriously.

He currently is released on a field Appearance ticket and he’s scheduled for court Friday May 24th.
The school district has sent out a letter to the parents of the students making them aware of the alleged incident and letting them know that the crossing guard has been removed from the school district.
