Five People Injured after Two Vehicle Crash
Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives investigate crash on Route 25A & Mount Sinai-Coram Road.
Suffolk County Police Detectives are investigating a two-vehicle crash in Mount Sinai, The crash occurred at approximately 6:15 pm. Mount Sinai Fire Department along with Port Jefferson EMS quickly responded to the scene. Debris could been seen spewed all over the highway. Assistance was called for 2 ambulances to respond from Terryville Fire Department & Miller Place Fire Department. Police shutdown both directions of Route 25A while detectives investigated the scene. The road was closed for about two hours. According to New York State DOT NY-Alert System the road re-opened around 8:13 pm. Five people were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
