Five Earl L. Vandermeulen High School seniors have been named commended students in the annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

David Lawler, Hugo Onghai, Stefano Rabeno, Blake Roberts and William Wu have each been recognized for the exceptional academic promise demonstrated on their outstanding performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. They each received a Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Program.
The five young men are very involved in all aspects of their high school careers and recognize that this achievement is vital to the advancement of educational excellence.
