Edna Louise Spear Elementary School students started the academic year on a positive note of learning to understand decision-making skills.

From Port Jeff's School: Port Jefferson’s Edna Louise Spear Elementary School students started the academic year on a positive note of learning to understand decision-making skills and a popular book had a starring role in their discussion. Assistant Principal Claudia Smith read Ryan T. Higgins’ popular “We Don't Eat Our Classmates” to all the kindergarten and first-grade classes. After reading the story about forming friendships and good choices in regard to behavior, they shared instances of making mistakes and learning from them.
