Let's RUN at Sunken Meadow

The 6th Annual Evelyn Knapp 'Run to Remember' Sunday 11/22 at Sunken Meadow State Park. Come join us and help Strength for Life help others

Join us as we celebrate our 6th Annual Evelyn Knapp “Run to Remember”. Evelyn loved this tough cross country course spanning the hills of Sunken Meadow State Park, known to all High School Cross Country teams - cardiac hill, snake and others.

There is something ‘active’ for the whole family - a Kids Fun Run, 3K Welllness Walk on the Boardwalk and the challenging 5K Cross Country Course. Come share the experience with your family and know that you are helping Strength for Life continue to offer FREE exercise classes and wellness retreats to cancer patients/survivors throughout Nassau and Suffolk.

As you may know, Strength for Life is a non- profit organization providing FREE exercise classes and wellness retreats to cancer patients/survivors on LI. Our immediate purpose is to help cancer patients feel their absolute best, to regain their ‘strength for life’, improve their daily functional activities, quality of life and self-esteem. The ultimate mission is to educate the medical community on the benefits of adding exercise to the treatment and recovery plan. We continue to accomplish these goals by providing 3 Retreats in the last year and by holding classes at the following locations.
