Man Arrested After Trying To Rob 2 Suffolk Banks: Police
BREAKING: He only got cash from one of the banks and he was in cuffs less than an hour later, police say.

A 29-year-old man was arrested after he tried to rob two Suffolk County banks Thursday afternoon, police said.
According to Suffolk Police, Steven Korth walked into the Chase Bank located at 60 North Country Road in Port Jefferson at about 1:38 p.m. He presented the teller a note demanding cash, but fled without proceeds, police said.
He then entered the TD Bank located at 320 Route 25A in Rocky Point at approximately 2:10 p.m. He again handed a note demanding cash to a teller, police said. The teller complied with his demands, and Korth fled, police said.

After an investigation, police found Korth in the woods on West Street in Middle Island at about 2:54 p.m.
Major Case detectives charged Korth, of Rocky Point, with third degree attempted robbery and third degree robbery. He will be held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Friday.
