UPDATE: Police ID Man Killed in Crash Into Tree in Mount Sinai
The crash occurred Wednesday night, police say.

MOUNT SINAI, NY – Police have identified a man who was killed in a car crash in Mount Sinai Wednesday night.
According to police, Glenn Taylor, 66, was driving a 2010 Toyota south on Chestnut Street when he struck a tree about 500 feet south of Route 25A at 7:08 p.m.
Taylor, of Mount Sinai, was pronounced dead at the scene by personnel from Port Jefferson Ambulance.

The vehicle impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
