Man Robbed, Assaulted Outside Port Jeff Station 7-Eleven

A man was taken to the hospital after being robbed and assaulted outside a Port Jefferson 7-Eleven on Monday night.

According to police, the man was on the side of the store at about 7 p.m. when he was approached by a man who assaulted him and stole his wallet, which contained cash.

The victim was taken to the St. Charles Hospital via Terryville Rescue, police said.

The robber fled in a vehicle. No arrests have been made.
