Man Seriously Injured In Coram Shooting: Police

The man suffered two gunshot wounds after several shots were fired into a home, police say.

CORAM, NY — A 28-year-old Shirley man was seriously injured in a shooting Tuesday night in Coram, Suffolk police said.

The man suffered two gunshot wounds when several shots were fired into a home on Sequoia Drive around 8 p.m., police said. Before officers arrived, the man was driven in a private car to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson before being transferred to Stony Brook University Hospital in serious but stable condition, police said.
