Pickup Truck Driver Killed In Mount Sinai Crash: Police
He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital after the Sunday morning crash, police say.
MOUNT SINAI, NY — A man was killed after he crashed into a tree Sunday morning in Mount Sinai, the Suffolk County Police Department said.
Ralph Maiello, 55, of Coram, was driving a 2019 Chevrolet pickup truck southbound on County Road 83 when he veered off the road and hit a tree just south of Mount Sinai-Coram Road around 9:05 a.m., police said.
Maiello was brought to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson where he was pronounced dead.

The pickup truck was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
