Port Jeff MS Share Artistic Talents For A Good Cause

The school's paint night event raised money for the North Shore Animal League's Bianca's Furry Friends Campaign.

From Port Jefferson Schools: A cold winter’s evening didn’t stop the determined students, their families and faculty and staff who participated in the Port Jefferson Middle School’s paint night event to raise money for the North Shore Animal League's Bianca's Furry Friends Campaign.

Arranged by middle school English teacher Allison Giannusa and principal’s secretary Kathleen Hanley, the festive fundraiser featured raffle baskets and artistic talents as participants created three cats under a full moon on their individual canvasses. The event raised $1,650 for the feline adoption center. “This was a huge success and we couldn't have done it without everyone's support,” said Hanley.
