Awesome! Five student-musicians recently rehearsed and performed at Carnegie Hall.

From Port Jeff Schools: Five student-musicians from Earl L. Vandermeulen High School in the Port Jefferson School District recently rehearsed and performed at Carnegie Hall with other highly talented Long Island students.
The students were accepted as part of the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of New York. They are junior Katie Ambrozy, selected to the Symphonic Choir; juniors Jillian Lawler and David Rotunno, selected to the Symphony Orchestra; and freshmen Nicole Schully and Ava Schully, selected to the Symphonic Orchestra and Principal Orchestra, respectively. The students had to audition in a competitive selection process based on a New York State School Music Association Level 4 or 5 solo on their instruments or voice.
