Port Jefferson's Sweetheart Dance – A PTA Labor Of Love

PORT JEFFERSON, NY - From Port Jefferson School District: With the children’s perennial favorite game “Candy Land” as its theme and decorative signs pointing in the directions of Lollipop Lane, Scraggy’s Skittle Hill and Gingerbread Place, the annual PTA-sponsored Sweetheart Dance recently took place at Edna Louise Spear Elementary School.

Girls in grades 1-5 and their specially selected adult enjoyed the festive fare of this long-standing tradition at the school that even featured a nod to Principal Tom Meehan with arrows directing guests to Mr. Meehan’s Cupcake Corner, a table full of tasty baked confections.
