TERRYVILLE, NY — The Terryville Fire Department's two-part Santa Parade will be held on Dec. 17 and 18.

The parade kicks off at Route 112 at 6 p.m. on Dec. 17 and Old Town Road at 5 p.m. on Dec. 18.

"Our volunteers are taking time out of their busy schedules to spread some holiday cheer," fire department officials posted to Facebook recently. "If our route doesn't take us past your house, we invite you to come down to the nearest corner and give Santa a wave as he passes on by."

In the event of an "unforeseen emergency," firefighters might have to suspend or alter the parade route, officials said.

"We ask that you remember that we our first priority is to respond to emergencies when called upon," the post continued. "Please keep in mind that while we try to cover as much of the district as possible, we can't cover every square inch due to time constraints and logistical reasons."
