2020-2021 School Tax Bills Available Nov. 1

Bills are payable through Dec. 10.

Town of North Hempstead Receiver of Taxes Charles Berman reminds residents that as per Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 202.55, the 2020-2021 School Tax first-half will be due and payable from November 1, 2020 through December 10, 2020 without penalty.

Payments made after such date are subject to interest and penalties beginning on December 11, 2020.

A discount of one percent on payments of second-half 2020-2021 school taxes which are made on or before December 10, 2020 will apply.

County Executive Laura Curran requested that the Governor extend the deadline to provide additional time for Small Claims Assessment Review (SCAR) proceedings, which were interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.Nassau County will deliver the 2020-2021 school district tax roll and warrant to the Receiver of Taxes office at the end of October.

School Tax bills will NOT be available until November 1, 2020.

Taxpayers will be able to pay taxes online on the Town’s website by ACH e-check or credit card at www.northhempsteadny.gov/Tax-Payments or by mail. There is no change on second-half dates.
