5 Port Washington Elementary Schools Rank Among State's Best
Niche.com ranked the top 100 elementary schools in New York.

All five elementary schools in the Port Washington School District were ranked among the top 100 public elementary schools in New York, based on new rankings of the top schools in state from Niche.com.
Here’s how they placed:
- Guggenheim Elementary School — No. 35
- South Salem Elementary School— No. 43
- John Philip Sousa Elementary School— No. 49
- Manorhaven Elementary School— No. 55
- John J. Daly Elementary School— No. 75
A school in the Jericho School District is the highest ranked school in Nassau County and New York State.

According to Niche, a high ranking indicates that “students are happy with their experiences in all aspects, especially academics, teachers, and diversity,” “the school is an exceptional academic institution in terms of teachers, students, resources for learning, and student outcomes,” and “the school is made up of a diverse population and fosters an accepting, positive school culture.”
