• Another One Bites The Dust: Jade Eatery Latest Closure At ‘Cursed' LI Address (dailyvoice.com) — Jade Eatery & Lounge has closed its Port Washington location at 1029 Port Washington Boulevard after less than a year, citing difficulty finding staff. The site, at Port Washington Boulevard and Main Street, has now seen three different restaurants open and shut in six years, while Jade’s Queens and Hicksville spots remain open.    

• We R Nuts, Issues Allergy Alert On Undeclared Milk, Soy & Cashews In Milk Chocolate Bridge Mix (solomonswords.net) — A Port Washington-based company, We R Nuts, has recalled 254 containers of Uncle Giuseppe’s milk chocolate bridge mix because the labels failed to list milk, soy, and cashews. Sold in New York and New Jersey, the candy could trigger serious reactions in people with these allergies, though no illnesses have been reported so far.
