Better Safe Than Sorry: Free Child Safety Seat Check in Port Washington
A properly installed child safety seat could possibly save your child's life.

Residents will have the opportunity to have their child safety seats properly installed and secured thanks to a free program sponsored by the Port Washington Police District and the Nassau County Traffic Safety Board.
Child safety seats can reduce the threat of injury or death by nearly 65 percent, as long as they are properly installed, according to the Nassau County Traffic Safety Board.
Stop by Atlantic Hook & Ladder Company, 25 Carlton Ave., on Saturday, May 30 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to get your free child safety seat check.

People will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis. To make an appointment for a free child safety seat inspection, call Senator Martins’ office at 516-746-5924.
