Door Dasher Turned Porch Pirate Stole Packages In Nassau: Police
The woman, holding a Chipotle bag from Door Dash, drove around and searched the area for packages, police say.
MANHASSET, NY — A Queens woman used her Door Dash job as a cover to act as a porch pirate instead, Nassau police said.
Juliana Saggaram, 33, of East Elmhurst, was accused of stealing packages in Manhasset and Sands Point, police said. She was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of petty larceny.
A 54-year-old woman on Sunday reported a package was stolen outside her home on Highland Terrace in Manhasset, police said. Saggaram, while working for Door Dash, picked up a food order from a Chipotle, drove around the area and searched for outside packages, police said. While holding the food order as a cover, she walked onto the property, stole the package and drove away, police said.

Police said Saggaram is also responsible for a second theft in Sands Point on Sunday.
She was issued a Nassau County appearance ticket and is due back at First District Court, at 99
Main St., Hempstead, on Oct. 20.
