The mac ‘n’ cheese deprived University of Connecticut student who went on an obscenity-laced tirade and shoving match with a restaurant manager refused to serve him earlier this month has left the school. The incident ended with a chef and the manager pinning the student to the floor until university police arrived.
A university spokeswoman confirmed to WTIC on Wednesday that Luke Gatti, a 19-year-old freshman from Bayville, NY, is no longer enrolled in the upstate Connecticut school. The spokeswoman said federal law prohibited her from disclosing further details.
Gatti became a viral sensation after his Oct. 4 nine-minute tirade was videotaped and posted on You Tube. Gatti became belligerent and unleashed a potty-mouthed outburst when the manager of an on-campus restaurant refused to serve him bacon jalapeño mac ‘n’ cheese because he was drunk and brought alcohol into the eatery.
Criminal charges are pending against Gatti who has since posted an apology on You Tube.
