Man Drove Drunk With 15-Year-Old Boy in Car in Roslyn Heights: Police

The Floral Park man was arrested Sunday morning.

A Floral Park man faces felony DWI charges after police say he drove drunk with a 15-year-old in the car Sunday morning in Roslyn Heights.

According to authorities, police observed a 2015 Toyota operated by Albin W. Castillo, 47, speeding southbound on Roslyn Road at 1:15 a.m. with a 15-year-old boy as a passenger.

An officer conducted a vehicle and traffic stop and determined Castillo was intoxicated, police say. Castillo was subsequently placed under arrest. The boy was released to his father at the scene.

Castillo was charged with aggravated DWI (Leandra’s Law,) endangering the welfare of a child, DWI and imprudent speed. He will be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
