Police are investigating a single-car crash in Manhasset that left a 53-year-old man seriously injured Monday night.
According to authorities, the man was driving a 2014 Toyota Camry northbound on Community Drive when he veered into the southbound lanes and struck a metal fence and tree at 10:45 p.m.
The man was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.

The vehicle was impounded for a brake and safety check even though police do not suspect criminality.
