Manhasset Bay Cleaned By Town Of North Hempstead

More than six dumpsters' worth of floating debris was collected from the waterway.

MANHASSET, NY — Manhasset Bay was cleaned by the Town of North Hempstead, the office of Council Member Mariann Dalimonte announced.

The clean-up effort started at Manorhaven Beach Park on Oct. 10 where teams were deployed to collect debris from the bay. More than six dumpsters' worth of floating debris were collected, including old floating docks and trash.

The cleanup was organized by Dalimonte and the town’s bay constables, highway department, parks department, and solid waste management department.
