Men Rob Manhasset Store Of $90,000 Worth Of Eyeglasses: Police
Two men, each wielding a crowbar, stole 80 pairs of eyeglasses and got in a waiting getaway car, police say.

MANHASSET, NY — Two men robbed a shop of $90,000 worth of eyeglasses on Saturday, Nassau police said.
Two crowbar-wielding men entered Morgenthal Frederics, at 2110 Northern Boulevard, around 5:15 p.m. Saturday, police said. The men stole approximately 80 pairs of assorted eyeglasses worth more than $90K, police said. Both men left and drove off in a gray 2018 Subaru Forester driven by another man, police said. The trio fled south on Searingtown Road, police said.
Police described the first man as black, 6 feet tall and thin. He was wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black pants and sneakers with a pink mask. The second man was described as black with a heavy build. He was wearing a green shirt, white shorts and gray sneakers, with a black mask, police said. Police did not have a description of the man in the Subaru.

No injuries were reported, police said.
