Manhasset students are working to upkeep the gardens at the district’s elementary schools. Earlier this fall, they were able to clean the gardens established by Planet Manhasset back in 2013. The students also planted new winter greenery at Munsey Park and Shelter Rock.

Planet Manhasset, the School Community Association’s eco-committee, is dedicated to researching and implementing ways to adopt a greener way of living. The gardens that Planet Manhasset created are used by students, teachers and the community to help provide a reality-based education while connecting students to a natural environment.

Planet Manhasset plans to do a spring planting with students as well.
