Police: Teen Arrested for Trespassing at Schreiber High School

Port Washington police say the teen isn't a Schreiber student; the incident prompted some parents to express concern about school security.

A 17-year-old male was arrested for trespassing at Schreiber High School on Wednesday, authorities said.

Port Washington Police say the male, who is not currently a Schreiber student, entered the high school’s lunchroom with a student at the school. He had been told previously not to enter, and when police arrived at the school, the teen was charged with trespass and released on an appearance ticket.

The teen has a Great Neck address, but his mother lives in Manorhaven, Port Washington Police’s Deputy Chief Bob Del Muro said.
