Renowned Artist to Discuss Latest Work in Port Washington
Jules Feiffer will headline the Friends of the Library's 46th Annual Richard D. Whittemore Book & Author Luncheon in May.

A Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist will be making an appearance in Port Washington at the Friend’s of the Library Luncheon in May.
Through his 50-year-old career, Jules Feiffer has become a Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist and illustrator, screenwriter, children’s book author and graphic novelist.
He started his career in the Village Voice in the 1950s. “It was an influential newspaper,” Feiffer said to Patch. “A lot of people read me in their time. I’ve seemed to affect their lives in all sorts of ways.”

Feiffer will be in Port Washington as one of the featured authors at the The Friends of the Library Author Luncheon on Friday, Mary 15 at the North Hills Country Club.
Feiffer will be there to talk about his first noir graphic novel “Kill My Mother.”

The book was published about eight months ago and he is already 75 pages into the second book. He plans to make the series a trilogy, he said.
Acclaimed novelist Mary Gordon will also be a featured author at the luncheon. Gordon’s most recent book is “The Liar’s Wife,” which consists of four compelling novellas of Americans in Europe and Europeans in America.
