'Spiderman' Trainer Opens Studio in Port Washington
Program developed by chiropractor specializing in kinesiology.
Core training like the stars is now an option in Port Washington.
Revolution in Motion, RevinMo for short, is a concept developed by Dr. Edythe Heus, a chiropractor who specializes in kinesiology.
“I’m able to very precisely measure muscles,” Heus said, at the Port Washington studio at 939 Port Washington Blvd. “There were certain patterns in muscles I saw, and I applied that to athletic performance.”

From there, Heus created a fitness regime that incorporates all muscles simultaneously, making each workout a full-body one.
Her program took off when she began training cast members of Broadway’s "Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark." Not long after, though, word spread to an audience that stretched beyond Broadway.

“You would have an everyday mom, an MMA [mixed martial arts] fighter and [actor] Christian Campbell in the same studio,” said Jim McNamee, one of the RevinMo trainers.
Some clients looked to the program because of medical disorders, such as Parkinson’s, according to the trainers. Others came in coping with knee injuries and other conditions, hoping to alleviate pain.
“My experience showed me that very few knee problems are related to the knee,” said Doctor Heus. “Weaknesses are connected.”
Rose Tummarello, a RevinMo enthusiast now helps run the Port Washington location.
“I have an issue with my foot,” Tummarello said. “I tried many things, and they all focused on my foot. When I saw Edythe, she saw the problem came from my hip and not my foot. With her guidance I’ve become so much better in a short period of time.”
RevinMo offers a free class to new clients so they can try out the program. The studio will have a grand opening in September, where more classes will be offered more frequently.
