Sands Point Teen Authors Book Dedicated to Cousin With Chronic Illness

The young author will be signing books at Harborfest with all proceeds going to Chrohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.

Taylor Sinett, a 15-year-old from Sands Point, was so impressed by how her cousin Casey dealt with her chronic illness that she was inspired to write a book.

While suffering from ulcerative colitis, a painful and even humiliating disease, Casey dealt with her condition while keeping a positive outlook on life.

Sinett wrote “Weasel on an Easel” in 2013. The story follows a weasel named Fredda who faces huge obstacles while on her journey of achieving her dreams. Every time Fredda is told “No,” she responds with “Hrmph, I will not give up!”
