Vikings Pull Out Victory in Final Bout
Senior wrestler pins opponent in less than a minute to secure win over Jericho.

The Port Washington varsity wrestling team was trailing, 30-28, heading into the last bout of the evening against Conference II rival Jericho. But coach Anthony Schettino had an ace up his sleve — senior Mike O'Brien, who had only lost one match all season, was left to wrestle in the 215-pound weight class.
And wrestle he did. The senior won his match in impressive fashion, pinning his opponent in just 52 seconds. The six points for the pin locked up the match for the Vikings (4-3), 34-30, in this Conference II Dual Meet.
"Our team was physical tonight," Schettino said, "that's why [O'Brien] won the match, that's why we won the meet. ... We knew coming in that it was going to be a battle. So we battled and that's why we came out on top."
