Volunteers Sought For HarborFest In Port Washington
HarborFest requires volunteers for the event's booths and activities. This year's event will be the 31st.
PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Volunteers are needed for Port Washington's 31st annual HarborFest, the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce announced. HarborFest is scheduled for June 4.
The chamber relies on volunteer residents and businesspeople to staff booths and help in the activities.
"Volunteers have found it to be a very rewarding experience, as well as a lot of fun," the chamber wrote. "We are hoping you can give us your support, time and energy to make HarborFest 2023 the most successful event ever."

The chamber listed a number of ways people can help:
- 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.: Set up dock; help exhibitors find their booth locations.
- 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.: Craft Show set-up.
- 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Sell soda and water.
- 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Sell HarborFest tee shirts.
- 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Unassigned – be available for helping wherever needed.
- 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Help take down booths and signs.
The chamber hopes each volunteer could work a two-hour shift, or longer if possible. Potential volunteers are asked to email Kathy Levinson at kathylevinson@yahoo.com. People may call the chamber at 883-6566 with questions.
